BLOGGER´S PROFILE: Jemima Garthwaite (Scotland)

jemimaHi, I'm Jem, one of the goalkeepers for Scotland Lacrosse. I've been playing lacrosse since I was 13 and was sent straight into goal when my coach realised what a liability I was on the field! She decided that it was much safer for everyone if I was confined to the goalie circle - and she wasn't wrong (thank you Wendy). Luckily I took to it and have been goalieing ever since.

I live in London and am lucky to be situated
a stones throw from my club's training ground (West London), and within 15 minutes of several of my fellow Scotland lacrosse players - we're a real family!

I went to Edinburgh University like many of my team mates, and Scotland is where my heart is. Luckily, despite my move to London, lacrosse training takes me back up there very regularly which I love (even in the thick of the freezing deep dark Scottish winters).

I'm looking forward to sharing me and my team mates' World Cup experiences with you, and will try to post as regularly as I can. Though I'm not new to blogging, my normal blog (Jemima) is mostly photographs, so it'll be a fun challenge to get me writing more! I also twitter (Jemima), if you're down the kids ;)

Thanks for reading!
